Carr Crag Cottage lies just above Skelwith Bridge, between the villages of Coniston and Ambleside. The setting overlooks the Great Langdale Valley and its iconic mountain range, where your view from the grounds is filled by craggy mountain peaks. The private approach passes the three other houses on Carr Crag, ending at our cottage and its grounds. You enter into the sitting room and dining space. A large room with tiled floors set under a host of beams, it has pleasing decor and ornament, making it ideal to both relax and dine. To one end is a roaring log burning stove with deep bay windows set either side of the chimney breast, where you can simply sit and admire a spectacular view. The sofas are big and comfy, perfect to tuck up and chat, read a book or take in a movie on the wide screen TV.
